Hi-This is me and my two daughters who are my inspiration. I started taking digital pictures with the birth of my first daughter in 2001 and have been "hooked" every since. They just might be the most documented children on earth (aside from Maddox and Shiloh!).

Canon A610 vs SD550 : On paper, the Canon A610/A620 and the SD550 are pretty similar. They both have a larger 1/1.8" sensor and are both very capable cameras. In my "somewhat scientific" tests, I found the A610 produced better, sharper "straight-out-of-the camera" pictures although the more pocketable SD550 definitely held its own esp. when I changed the exposure to -2/3 as the AUTO Flash tended to overexpose the images.

Canon A610 : These are the first shots from my New Canon A610. Right away, it was a big improvement over the diminutive Sony P200 for Indoor Portraits. I haven't quite figured out how to take a good Macro shot though - I better crack open the manual. And poor Sophia has pink eye- that's why she looks so tired in these pictures :-(

Panasonic FX7 vs FX8 : This is a side by side comparison of the Panasonic FX7 vs the FX8 . The most significant change was the doubling of the battery life. Another big improvement is the Faster AF, as well as 640 x 480 Video with Audip Playback. If you already own the FX7, I'm not sure if you need to upgrade but if you are looking for a Great Ultra Compact Camera, I would highly recommend the FX8.
